Instant-Dissolving Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose
Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) is a nonionic cellulose ether polymer. Depending on the degree of substitution of the substituent groups and the degree of modification, they exhibit different chemical properties. It is a nonionic white cellulose ether powder.
Key Features and Performance
Instant-dissolving grade HPMC utilizes a special surface treatment technology, enabling rapid dispersion in cold water without clumping, forming a uniform and transparent solution. Its dissolution speed is several times fasfontter than that of ordinary HPMC, significantly enhancing production and construction efficiency, making it particularly suitable for industrial and cosmetic formulations with strict requirements for dissolution speed.
- Rapid Dissolution: Forms a uniform solution in a short time
- No Clumping: Excellent dispersibility in cold water
- High Solution Stability: Maintains the same viscosity and functionality as standard HPMC
- Time and Cost Savings: Reduces mixing and waiting time
- Versatility: Suitable for various formulation systems
Field of application
Instant-dissolving hydroxypropyl methylcellulose disperses instantly in cold water and forms a transparent solution, making it ideal for applications requiring extremely fast dissolution.
- Ready-to-use dry-mixed mortar
Simply add water and stir to achieve rapid and uniform dissolution, reducing waiting time.
- Chemical formulation production
Used in water-based systems requiring immediate dissolution, such as water-based coatings and adhesives.
- Cosmetic cold mixing process
Forms a uniform system quickly without heating during production, reducing energy consumption.
- Pharmaceutical and food industry
Used as an instant thickener or colloidal stabilizer.
- Water treatment agents
Disperses quickly to achieve uniform mixing.
- Waterproof mortar
Improves density and durability, and reduces the risk of water penetration.
